Ask Questions

Frankly, questions are a part of OBCAP that did not go the way I thought they would. Very few questions have been asked by one person and answered by another. Most questions are just me documenting what I learn on a topic so I do not forget it.

Good questions on OBCAP are questions that are likely to be asked again. This includes questions about literature supporting various concepts in our field of techniques for refuting various defense theories. Questions about policies, team organization, and professional practice are welcome on OBCAP as well. Other question and answer sites have had more success with questions that have an answer, rather than straight opinion. Questions that present a specific case, call for a difficult judgment call or interpretation of specific findings are less successful on OBCAP. Some of these questions have a good question inside of them -- and need someone to pare away the details. Other questions will simply be more appropriate for the listserve than for OBCAP.

To ask a question click the Add anything else button on the main page. Make sure you tag your question as a "Question" so it can show up in the unanswered questions list.

If you ask a question and then find the answer, please answer your own question. If you cared enough to ask, eventually someone else will have the same question. If you find some good references on a topic, consider asking a question and then immediately answer it. This makes your work useful to everyone.
