Voting

Just like in life, on OBCAP voting is your civic duty. Each question, paper, and response has a voting widget next to it. The voting widget is shown below.

If you found the reference, comment, or question helpful, even if you disagree with it, please vote it up by clicking the up arrow. Voting up serves two purposes. First it serves as a kind "thank you" to whoever offered the content you found helpful. Second, OBCAP uses voted to determine the order that items show up in search results and on the page. By voting, you direct other members to the best content.

Down votes are helpful as well. IF there is something wrong with an answer, vote it down. That will let other, and hopefully better content bubble up to the top. In many communities, a down vote without a comment explaining why is considered rude.

OBCAP keeps track of the votes you have cast and will not let you vote twice, although you can change your vote at any time by clicking the opposite arrow. We will not willingly tell anyone who voted for or against any items.
